Troop 1192 dedicated some of their scout meeting time to making cards for soldiers for OPERATION WRITE HOME. The troop has been involved in many community works including volunteering their time and efforts to ACAP. This Memorial weekend they will be marching in a parade and then will be planting 100 tree seedlings to replenish the loss from the flood Northern Maine had a couple years ago. Their time and dedication is unprecedented and it was a honor to be able to work with the troop. Many of the girls showed a great interest in making the cards for soldiers and even asked many questions. I will be gathering with the troop again in the fall for HUGS AND HOPE as we will be making cards for children.

  1. OH!! What a terrific group of young ladies! Their commitment to the community is outstanding. Thanks for posting pictures. I like to be able to put faces with the cards I get.
